White House backs Britain on action against Libya

The Reagan administration says it fully supports Britain's decision to break diplomatic relations with Libya and to give the Libyans one week to evacuate their London embassy.

Deputy White House press secretary Larry Speakes said Sunday the administration considers Britain's decision ''totally appropriate in light of the events in the past several days and we support it without reservation.''
