08.06.08 The Perfect Man“

I just read The Perfect Man by Naeem Murr. After a semester of reading almost exclusively short stories for a creative writing program, Murr’s book was an immensely discoverable treasure. His characters are so perfectly flawed, his conflicts so intricately layered, and his voice so humanly measured and direct that you really won’t be able to put it down. Magnificent story, spectacular writing. 4.5 stars out of 5 (but I’ve yet to encounter, since 2001 on my merciless scale, a 5). ” |
