Obama not concerned with polls or Palin-o-mania

By Jimmy Orr | 09.09.08

With 55 days to go and the latest polls showing the presidential showdown deadlocked in a tie, sounds of worry are emanating from the left about the impact of McCain runningmate Sarah Palin.

But if Democratic nominee Barack Obama is worried, he’s got a great poker face.  Speaking at a press briefing this afternoon in Ohio, Obama addressed the Washington Post/ABC poll which showed white women jumping over to the McCain-Palin ticket in droves.

Polls, schmolls

“These are the same polls that had me 20 down last summer that have swung wildly thought this process,” he said.  “I think that what we’re going to have to do is see how things settle out over the next few weeks when people start  examining who is actually going to deliver on the issues that people care about.”

Obama specifically mentioned education, health care, insurance, and the economy as the issues he thinks “are going to make the biggest difference in this race.”

Palin-palooza

On Palin, Obama acknowledged that the Alaska Governor has generated a lot of hoopla but said she was firing up the far right rather than women as a whole.

“She’s been on the minds of all of you, and as a consequence has been before the American people constantly throughout the week, and has brought excitement to the Republican party, there is no doubt about that,” he said.

“I think that has less to do with gender than it has to do with her ideological predispositions, which are closely aligned to theirs,” Obama added.

Not a fan

Though there is plenty of Palin-o-mania occurring, one person who isn’t getting caught up in it is the always quotable former New York Mayor Ed Koch.

His thoughts on Palin?  She “scares the hell out of me,” he said while endorsing Obama.

“Protecting and defending the U.S. means more than defending us from foreign attacks,” Koch continued.

Who cares if Obama is bothered by polls or not. He isn’t going to win the election. Not being biased, just honest. Sorry people.

3. Barbara | 09.09.08

I love my fellow Americans, but when they elect McCain, they deserve what the next four years will bring. I predict we’ll be huddling in front of space heaters, paying taxes on the health benefits our bosses provide, and losing our sons to the draft — along with losing social security and having to work until we die, preventing the next generation from finding jobs. But at least we’ll have stopped women from choosing abortions –

4. chet mccabe | 09.09.08

McCain has created a “SOAP OPERA” with Palin and has become a second position on the ticket realigning to Palin “Plain” She is a JOKE to be reckoned with

5. beevee | 09.09.08

The sudden shift in public opinion after McCain’s pick of Palin just goes to shows that people are not thinking with their heads in the right place. But McCain has mastered the art of boxing from behind Palin’s skirt. Anywhere I saw a picture of these two it is palin in front and McCain behind her. Who is running for president?

6. Tandon | 09.09.08

I am Republican and I feel Republican is doing injustice to American people by deviating from the issue based politics to talking 24/7 about Palin. I am surprised how dumb and stupid we American can become when we are moved by star power. McCain is playing negative politics by letting American talk about Palin instead of issues. He is Maveric, but what he is doing now hiding behind Palin and that is not positive.

The biggest stupidity is we are talking about VP candidates instead of Presidential candidate. Why? Can anyone explain? Palin is running for VP and not for President. It is an important duty of Media to explain to American citizen what they should focus on right now and talk something about President and not VP candidate personality.

On the other side if McCain is true hero and have guts American would love him if talk more of issue and how he will resolve them – “Heads on with Obama” and come out victorious. As of now I see that Republican are not doing good job and bound to loose.

7. Marcus | 09.09.08

I think when the U.S. starts hearing about the shady self serving things she’s been doing , that luster will fade. john has only made it this far because he has a reputation for being true blue. She’s useless for anything other than modeling eyeglasses

When they finally get back to issues she’ll get dropped out like the fakey loser she is.

8. Andrew L - Des Moines | 09.09.08

Yes, Palin-o-mania is a fad, like the hoola-hoop, Cabbage-patch Dolls, or Tickle-me-Elmo. Once the initial excitement has worn off, people realize they are a lot better off considering positions on issues, the party platform, and which team is really ready, willing — and most importantly able — to lead us out of the quagmire this Republican administration has lead us into.

After looking at all Barack Obama has done to help vets; what he’s done to reform ethics and privileges of lobbyists to be overly influencial with politicians, and we examine how an Obama-Biden ticket compares to McCain-Palin, I think we can see why this blow-out is going to be AT LEAST 341-197, if not higher.

Millions and millions of new voters aren’t even being registered in these new polls. Personally, I’m not too excited about having a pitbull with lipstick as President. Haven’t we had enough of this “bluster” with President Bush? Why gamble on only 10% change?

9. Carolyn Reed | 09.09.08

My intuition for what it is worth tells me to beware of Obama. I think he is a sheep in wolves clothing seeking whom he can to devour.

10. SwingVoter | 09.09.08

Why does the media not dissect Barack Hussein Obama like they are doing with Gov. Sarah Palin? Has Obama ever accomplished anything having to do with change? He was an Illinois state senator for 8 years… did he bring about any change in Illinois with “business as usual”? Of course not, especially because he was backed by the Chicago Democratic Machine, the notoriously corrupt machine. Chicago politics are far worse than Washington DC’s, so what record is Obama running on? Three years as a do-nothing junior senator? Obama is a lightweight, and they are scared silly of Gov. Sarah Palin. William Ayers, Tony Rezko, Frank Marshall Davis, and Jeremiah Wright: unrepentant terrorist, crook, communist mentor, and racist mentor. You can judge Barack Hussein Obama by the company he keeps…

11. Virginia Harris | 09.09.08

Senator Clinton and Governor Palin show that women can have different outlooks on how to handle the issues of our society.

Women have even differed on whether women should be allowed to vote.

I’d like to share a women’s history learning opportunity…

“The Privilege of Voting” is a new free e-mail series that follows eight great women from 1912 - 1920 to reveal ALL that happened to set the stage for women to win the vote.

It’s a real-life soap opera! And it’s ALL true!

Powerful suffragettes Alice Paul and Emmeline Pankhurst are featured, along with TWO presidential mistresses, First Lady Edith Wilson, Edith Wharton, Isadora Duncan and Alice Roosevelt.

There are tons of heartache on the rocky road to the ballot box, but in the end, women WIN!

Thanks to the success of the suffragettes, women have voices and choices!

Exciting, sequential episodes are great to read on coffeebreaks, or anytime.

What is so funny is that Palin is more qualified to be pres than Barry O is! That is why there is so much hupla about the repub vp pick.

Instead of Obama running against the republican prez candidate he is relegated to running against their VP!

come on, just what has obama done but give some speeches, he missed many of the votes when he was in the Il senate.

13. Antoine - New Jersey | 09.09.08

Hey Carolyn Reed …. and you think McCain is not. He openly embraced the right wing republican agenda when it was clear that he had a real shot at being the nominee. He did it to win over the hard core republicans who for years hated him for his constant independence on issues.

14. Gomer | 09.09.08

Don’t worry CarolineReed …. From what we know Sarah will shoot that wolf from an aircraft!

15. ApostasyUSA | 09.09.08

McCain got a poll bump from women liking McCain’s pick for VP? Really?

I think it will be difficult for Republicans to make any substantial arguments against affirmative action after this pick. Affirmative action not for individual uplift but as desperate political maneuvering is a cynical betrayal of principals to gain power.

One question - and please answer honestly:

Were Palin a man, would McCain have picked her? Point made.

…and now John McCain only wants to talk about Palin.

Why? Skepticism isn’t sexism…..

Do you love how the McCain campaign is exploiting women by his VP pick?

It seems to be working and it is a sign of how gullible people are.

Before Palin, McCain was no go for women. So the McCain campaign picks a woman with just about the same opinions and record as McCain, and women start falling in line? MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

What does that say about American women?

16. indyguy | 09.09.08

Hopefully, the position on issues will decide this election. Not who looks more presidential…or who looks more appealing while holding their kids…or with their rifles after shooting ducks. If Palin was such a sensation where has she been for the last two years while everyone else was busting their butt on the campaign trail??? Am I to cast my indy vote because she has good sarcasm or looks cute in glasses? She has yet to show me she has backbone and a mouthpiece on issues that matter at this trying time. I would say wait until she fumbles during the debates, but Georgy boy lost every debate over the last eight years and he was reelected. Scary! I’m voting for the best candidate not one who can rile one constituency– the religiuos right. Not scary– frightening!

17. Julia Fordham | 09.09.08

Yes I’m left speechless by the ignorance of the majority of the posters in here who support the McCain/Palin Republicans … but if you read Bob Herberts column today in the New York Times you might learn something …

18. Be Afraid | 09.09.08

Koch: Palin ‘Scares the **** Out of Me’

Yes, Mr. Kroch and fellow Democrats, “Be afraid… be very afraid!”

You must now live with the fact that the entire DNC has messed-up big-time; from Howard Dean on down. Palin just magnifies your mess-up. The Democrats always have a way of picking the WORST candidates.

19. mark | 09.09.08

Hey Carolyn, It’s “wolf in sheeps clothing” not the way you said it, but…you like the guntoting, eskimo, beauty queen who has no ethics.

20. Rick F | 09.09.08

For someone “not concerned with polls or Palin-o-mania”, Obama seems very concerned. He is the typically, mud-slinging politician who is about as much for change as his career Washington politician running mate.

21. Joe - Georgia | 09.09.08

Wait a minute…Palin has more executive experience than Obama…hmmm..if Koch is supporting BHO it must mean the DNC is going to be pulling the strings in an Obama administration for him to think that the country would be safe with this empty suit…McCain is the only safe choice

22. Ed - New Mexico | 09.09.08

Whatever you are expressing worry about Barack Obama doing as an unknown quantity - the potential damage that a mentally unbalanced McCain will do to the country is much greater. The Pick of Sarah Palin over much more wise and experienced politicians, especially experienced Republican Women, like Senator Snowe, for example, proves 1. McCain is not thinking of the best interest of the country (Country First, HAH!)but only getting elected, 2. that he is in no way a “Maverick” having picked the most right wing candidate, a proven Buchanan supporter, and 3. picking a secessionist, supporter of Alaska First (Country First, HAH!)who wants to get into office to further the interests of these extremists in destroying our nation.

23. Johns Son | 09.09.08

Watching Junior Senator Barach Hussein Obama very carefully I have descerned a slowly but surely deminishment of his robust demeanor. Also he has slowed down on his braging about his glory days as a Community Advisor to the folks in Chicago. What concerns me is that Barach has no military back ground but has several close associations with the Reverand Wright and Ayers and last but not least George Soros who is actively financing his political activities.Barach hasn’t gone back or used his old theme that Americans’ are
using religeon as a crutch.

24. Tina | 09.09.08

My worry is two fold. Lots of POW suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and Severe Chronic Pain. How is Senator McCain dealing with this on a daily basis.

Usually these conditions cause emotional out bursts and poor decision making.

Why is the Republican party preventing Mrs Palin from talking to the Media.

We have spent close to 2 years trying to decide who our next leader is going to be. It makes me very worried to realize that we have no way of finding out Mrs Palin’s ability to make serious decisions - and we have less than 2 months to find it out. And she is just a ‘heart beat away’ from being the next president…

25. Mark | 09.09.08

Bravo Barbara! McCain? Another 4 years of this fiscally irresponsible, negligent, Republican mess that we are drowning in, and our kids will be drafted, more homes lost, prices soar, unemployment is rampant, etc, BUT it’s all good because - women won’t be able to get abortions and gays wont marry. The dumbing down of our beloved country continues. Go fight Iraq, Iran, Russia, North Korea, etc with a crazed menopausal woman wielding a hockey stick. WAKE UP!!!!!!!

26. Eda | 09.09.08

I saw her pasarela know is time she talk about issue…

27. Big Al - Alabama | 09.09.08

Our country is somewhere between complaisancy and apathy. Why don’t we just try real hard to not call people names that are running for office? Get the facts! We all might be surprised. Besides we give too much credit to our president and vice president. We need to look very hard at our Senate and Congress. That’s where the real problem is, not with the presidency. Our legislative branch of government is full of corruption. The economy is their fault, not Bush’s. Remember, we elected a democratic legislation the last time around. Blame Bush for the war in Iraq if you will, but not the economy. We need to be out of Iraq but, only with honor and a win. McCain can do that. I don’t think Obama can, at least not what I have heard come out of his mouth. Let’s all get back on track and really work hard this election year to find out the real issues instead of all this negative nonsense that has been going on. Do your homework people, I sure am. Our future depends on it. The media is bias, all media is bias! Read between the lines and make up you own minds.

28. Franklee | 09.09.08

@Jimmie:

What has Obama done? Brought out the ignorant ******* turd in some folks.

Any more questions?

29. Mona Lisa | 09.09.08

If McCain wins, whatever comes after that, for worse most likely is our fault, so i hope 3 years from now Americans wont regret voting for McCain!

30. Sandra S | 09.09.08

She uses her family to politicize her candidacy then they cry unfair when the family issues are addressed.

The polls are ‘opinion’ polls only, and are taken randomly. They do not represent what people will actually do in the voting booth. Also Obama is ahead with electoral votes which is what counts.

Obama does not seem to be concerned at the ‘opinion’ polls at this time. He is a very smart man and a brilliant strategist - after all he came from behind to win in the primaries over the most powerful woman in Washington.

The Dems are united at this time, and that should include all Dems on this board. Discuss and vent, but where it counts - VOTE on November 4.

And personally, I don’t care if Sarah Hussein Palin is a man, woman or transexual:

“You can’t fight religious extremists in the Middle East when you elect them in the Midwest”. seen in the blog world

31. Sandra S | 09.09.08

Oh yes, and since McCain would be a big fat zero without Sarah, it is obvious that he IS a big fat zero and not prez material.

“You can’t fight religious extremists in the Middle East when you elect them in the Midwest”. seen in the blog world

32. dan | 09.09.08

“Obama not concerned with polls or Palin-o-mania”

Does anyone actually believe this? Isn’t this what most of would call a lie?

33. Paul Leger | 09.09.08

Palin? Isn’t she the celebrity vacuity that McCain used to roar against in Obama? She legitimizes Obama in every way. She is the Britney Spears of the far right and has the trailer trash credentials to prove it. I agree with Ed Koch. She scares me, too. Did you see the movie “Idiocracy?” That was about her second term. Can we get back to the election please? My life, your life and the lives of our kids might well be on the line. I don’t care whether you like Obama or not. You HAVE to vote for him in the face of republican cynicism even greater than the Bush-2 administration.

34. spiritguide | 09.09.08

I can’t figure out why CSM has an image of Obama next to a cartoon image of George ” What Me Worry? ” Bush !?!?!

35. Isabel | 09.09.08

Carolyn… I think it’s “wolf in sheep’s clothing”. And you should re-examine your instincts. Unless you are super-rich, McCain will do nothing to improve your situation. I for one would prefer a candidate who is willing to address issues that affect real Americans, not the wealthy elite. The economic downturn brought on by Bush’s policies and costly war have now cost me my job. I have no desire to elect a candidate who will bring me four more years of the same.

36. Joel | 09.09.08

The McCain camp is saying the same old stuff that Bush did because it strikes a cord with people of values. This way people of value can get distracted from the real issues and they start caring about social issues that the government shouldnt be involved with at all. Then the right elects the idiot and crys about it for another 4 years and regret that they fell for it again. So come on people dont fall for another 4 years of failed policy, and out sourcing, and big spending, and an economic adviser who started the sub prime disaster in the first place. Lets take back America and take down the Republican establishment

37. rosie | 09.09.08

if obama isn’t concerned about the polls, why is he putting the heat on Sarah??

38. Greg B | 09.09.08

Friends, John McCain is not to be trusted. Not only because of the irresponsible choice of VP, but because he waffles on the issues to suit the needs of his political career. If you think McSame REALLY gives a hoot ‘n’ holler about YOUR well-being and safety for real, you are one of the legions of lost lambs, following the nonsense on their TVs instead of thinking for themselves!

39. Amir | 09.09.08

I hope America learned from the last eight years that voting for the person who looks good and maybe the one you want to hang out with, is not voting for the best president. Besides, Palin is only the second on that ticket - remember?

She was, however, selected to that position to generate a lot of noise, but without any regards to future implications and potential impact on the country. She was selected strictly as a campaign strategy, not at all a governing strategy. What does that say about McCain and putting the country first?

I am sure that the Palin excitement will subside somewhat over the next few weeks, as the campaign routine moves on and as we hear what she has to say about the issues. Also, a lot more will become clear (to many more people) once the press gain some access to her and we find who she really is.

40. spiritguide | 09.09.08

At this point, McCain’s campaign is being run by Rove disciple Steve Schmidt… not McCain. He tells McCain what to say and when and how to say it. He convinced McCain to pick Sarah Palin instead of McCain’s two top picks.. Lieberman and someone else. Palins entire convention speech was written by a Schmidt speech writer, and McCain’s attack adds are prepared by another similar character. John is simply following their advice.. and due to the immediate success of the Palin choice.. he will probably let his advisers take complete control of the rest of the campaign. Pretty scary stuff.. considering that McCain is presenting himself as the ” Straight Shooter “.

41. ken benobi | 09.09.08

John McCain’s is a spineless traitor. He spends 5-years in a death camp only to turn his back on his fellow veterans. Check his voting record. In his 2002 book, he admitted to running for POTUS out of pure ambition — not for love of country… but Americans don’t read.

Now in his old age, castrated by Bush and Rove and abandoned by his own party (not to mention his principles), he turns to a Lying, Religious, Gun Toting Nutbag Beauty Queen with lipstick and positively zero national know-how to divert attention from his feeble, embarrassing campaign and save him from certain death at the hands of the Obama Pain Train.

It won’t work. We’ve heard all the lies. We are no longer afraid.

The game is over.

OBAMA ‘08

42. Xavier | 09.09.08

I admire McCain that he is a War Veteran & he has had his ordeals..But, I just do not trust him when it comes to our Troops, I feel he would use them as pawns in a Chess game was Bush did..He has been letting it be known that he is a War monger, seinding threats out before he even takes the White House..It’s Presidents like him that make people hate America & make Terrorist & Extremist attack us..He claims he will protect us? He will ruin more lives then Bush..I voted Republican last time thinking Bush would fix what he started! Stupid me..Media goes against Obama because the surge worked? Of course it worked U.S Military against a few Guerillas with Guns..He was against it because when you look at the big picture America provokes more to go against them & that conflict is not worth the Bravery of our Troops, or the lost of more American lives! My Fathers in the Army, if it’s war then let it be for a just cause not personal agenda or to be in History books..McCain is much the same, I ask God NO!

43. Dawn | 09.09.08

Us woman have come too far to let this woman take all that we’ve overcame away. Roe V. Wade, anyone? Ironically, I never thought it would be a woman that would try to take away ANOTHER woman’s right away from her. Wake up people. Let’s really think about what Palin stands for and the impact it could have not on just woman, but everyone else.

Palin believes that we should teach abstinence in school and NOT sexual education. Well, maybe if her daughter had the right information about birth control pills or condoms, then her pregnancy wouldn’t be such an issue?

I would love to see a woman VP, maybe even President someday. Just not this one.

44. Jerry H | 09.09.08

The Palin road may have beautiful scenery and glitzy signs but look out for the pot holes in the shadows and realize that you are actually on the “Bridge to Nowhere”.

45. Francis | 09.09.08

It just goes to show you that the media can easily fool there viewers..Thats why you see so much positive hoopla on Palin & the continued negative rants towards Obama..It’s so sad people don’t want to except change & want to remain pretty much in the same situation or worst then what we been in the last 8 years..All because Palin is pretty & says shes a Pitbull with lipstick does not mean that you should vote McCain into office..McCain is running for President not Palin, McCain is. They are making this Election about personality other then the REAL ISSUES effecting our country..Obama said that the American people are not that stupid, well, I am starting to believe they are. Xavier, thank your Dad & the rest of the Troops for us who really appreciate them for there true worth & understand there Bravery should be used when we are left with no other alternative ; ).

46. Alexander | 09.09.08

I’m curious… Is there one person out there that believes that the Republicans have done a good job over the last 8 years? Is there one person out there that is happy with what they have done with and to the country? Is there one person that truly believes that Republican policies have achieved better results than the Democratic policies of the two Clinton terms? Please be honest. If you prefer unemployment, foreclosures, failing companies, lower educational standards, highest deficit of all time, then you have every right to ask the Republicans to continue running your country. If you prefer the prosperity we enjoyed during the Clinton years, they you have a responsibility to hire the Democrats for the job. Note that there is nothing I have said here that is spin, talking points, partisan etc. Unless you don’t agree that the country is worse off today than it was 8 years ago. If you don’t, then I’ve gotta say that you have much bigger problems than deciding for whom to vote.

Reply to Tina:

You are misinformed. Or, perhaps you have been watching too much of Campbell Brown (CNN) and Keith Olbermann (MSNBC). Both of them are idiots.

Palin has been in the national scene for only 10 days. I those 10 days she had the RNC - delivering her acceptance speech, she had to deal with the media hoopla regarding her doughter’s pregnancy and other attacks about her decision to accept the VP nomination while she has to juggle 5 kids, and other rediculous non-issues that the media idiots threw her way. In the mean-time Palin has been on the road campaigning and also has a son who is leaving for Iraq this Thursday! Yeah, she had the time to give interviews to the media clowns in 10 days that the woman has been going non-stop.

The fact is that CNN and MSNBC are ticked off because the McCain campaign has already decided to grant ABC Palin’s first interview (to air this week). Yes, this was a big slap at the face of the 24 hour “News for Dummies” networks! And if the idiots at CNN, MSNBC do not start cevering this campaighn more objectively they will probably get no interviews from Palin! That’s OK with me…I prefer network news anyway!

So- I suggest to Jon Clown as in Jon Klein of CNN to do something with that little witch Campbell Brown as MSNBC has already done with that Moron Keith Olbermann (demoted - oh yes) if he wants to get Palin on CNN!!!!

The economy was not doing so bad in the first 6 years of the Bush administration. It went into a mess duting the last 2 years that the Democrats had the control in Congress. These are the facts, my dear. Obama keeps blaming everything on the Republicans… The man keeps talking just so he can hear himself talk… The majority of the American people are smarter than buying into the fact that only one party - the Republican - is responsible for the mess we are in.

49. Ruth | 09.09.08

Why is it when Obama changes his mind/opinion on an issue the liberally bias media calls it a flip-flop but when the republicans flip-flop, like with the bridge to nowhere, they call it a lie?

Are these Obama Flip-Flops or Lies:

Rev Wright - I can no more disown him than I can the black community. Then a month later he disowned both Rev Wright and his church.

Illegal immigration - First he opposed cracking down on businesses that hire illegal immigrants, now he supports it.

Marijuana - First he supported the decriminalization of marijuana now he opposes it.

Cuba Embargo - First he said “to end the embargo with Cuba” now he wants to continue it.

Public Financing - Obama became the first candidate to reject public financing for the general election after earlier promises to accept it.

Education - First his highest priority was the arts, music and culture now its traditional math and science.

Gun Control - now favors an individual’s right to own a gun.

50. Alan | 09.09.08

It’s funny to see people complaining about the “hoopla” about Palin because they don’t like her taking away any of the “hoopla” about Obama.

It’s politics on both sides, and nobody likes it when the other side does it, but they love it when their side does.

Many of us have been sucked in to acting like the two-party system is part of the US Constitution.

Please don’t go around thinking that your party is pristine, and the other guy is evil.

51. Michael | 09.10.08

McCain didn’t get no jump in the polls. Do you really think people just jumped over to the other side because Sarah Palin came on board. No way! No one knows who she is or what she stands for. And it’s John McCain that will be making the decisions. If anything, McCain’s poll numbers went down, and the media is doing damage control. I’ve noticed throughout this election that everytime John McCain screws up, his poll numbers go up. That speech Palin gave at the convention had community organizers fired up across the country. Since when did we take a liking to people that bash helpers of a community. Ya notice how John McCain kept his big mouth shut the next day. He knew she ticked off alot of people. Besides, the press is corrupt as ****. I knew they were gonna say McCain was ahead in the polls a week before both conventions. I think they want to keep the election close so no one will say something when they steal it. Everybody knows those voting machines dont work and couldn’t even be certified. From what I’ve read, one of Bush’s buddies has access to all the counts.

52. Mat | 09.10.08

Wow you guys can come up with any reason why Mccain is ahead. If Obama was ahead like before those voting machines would be right..lol.I am not with either party but i do see the Dem’s must be worried about something because they have not one good thing to say.I am now leaning for Mccain because of all the ****. You only hate Palin because you are afraid of her why?You don’t even know the lady and you call her names. One thing to disagree with her but another thing to be like kids and call her names. You make America look bad. Its not Bush or Clinton or Mccain or Obama that makes us look bad its the people. People who have decided hate is the better path.It won’t matter who wins it will be the people who cause the trouble in America because you don’t have the know how on how to get along.

People who have decided hate is the better path.It won’t matter who wins it will be the people who cause the trouble in America because you don’t have the know how on how to get along.

Something tells me if McCain/Palin win, we’ll be looking at the Bush years with fond NOSTALGIA.
I would have been OK with McCain as pres. Palin is scary. Based on her record, I wouldn’t be surprised if she managed to outmaneuver McCain, have him declared mentally incompetent and take over.

For a real, non-partisan snapshot of some of Sarah Palin’s record go here:

From the guys who actually are trying to change something for the better, both Reps and Dems.

To Alexander - Remember, during the Bill Clinton economic golden years (a man for whom I voted) there was a Republican congress to balance him (for most of the time). I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a Democratic Congress and a Republican President. No rubber stamping!

“Obama not concerned with polls or Palin-o-mania”

Wow, that headline really made my BS meter scream …

On policy issues, I definitely side with Obama.

But I am so tired of his drone and know-it-all wordiness, I just can’t even stand the sound of his voice anymore. When he comes on TV, I have to change the channel out of embarrassment for him and all he stands for.

Biden is awesome. But he hardly balances against Obama’s exhausting monologues.

I worry that a lot of undecideds will similarly suffer from what I am beginning to see as a nation suffering from Obama burnout.

55 days before the election Schmidt, Rove and Davis distract voters from real issues by attacking a pig wearing lipstick.

Schmidt, Rove and Davis are attacking a Pig Wearing Lipstick? Because they branded Governor Sarah Palin as their Pit bull wearing Lip stick? What is the difference between a Pig and a Pit bull?

Pigs, also called hogs or swine, are ungulates which have been domesticated as sources of food, leather, and similar products since ancient times. From Wikipedia

Pit Bull is a term commonly used to describe several breeds of dog in the Molosser family that were historically used for dog fighting. From Wikipedia

Proof that they are attempting to steal the pet, lip stick and fashion vote.

I never thought this election might be decided on A Pig vs Pit Bull. Two different animals. I bet the whole world’s online community is thinking “So this is America and Democracy?” Yes I say! This is our finest hour! 55 more days! In my storage room where I parked my computer this artist is looking for a quick response …

Democrats courting all Republican and Independent voters who love Pets, Lipstick and Fashion

The real change team for the last 19 months
Change we can believe in!

Vote Obama/Biden ‘08

entitled … there’s a white woman stealing my show

Vote for another extremist Republican Regime and don’t complain when your kids get drafted for the next war due to our exhausted military, your house is foreclosed or your property values nose dive even more, you can’t afford food, gas, housing, etc, etc - but at least you wont have a black guy in the White House, gays wont be able to marry and there will be no abortions. Good job America!
