Palin offers up “First Dude” to save Michigan

By Jimmy Orr | 10.03.08

Amid the flurry of emails from both campaigns accusing each other of lying at Thursday night’s vice presidential debate, Republican nominee Sarah Palin proved today that at least one thing she said was, in fact, true.

When discussing differences between she and McCain Thursday night she said, “Of course we’re not going to agree a 100 percent on everything.”

Maverick VS Maverick

As almost if to prove her point, she went out Friday morning and promptly disagreed with her running mate.

Not that it was anything that big.  It wasn’t like she announced that she was having lunch with the Castro brothers at Arby’s.

But she did disagree with the McCain campaign’s decision to give up on the State of Michigan.   She thinks campaign offices and staff should remain in the state and - in a conversation with FOX News - offered up the “First Dude” to help out.

“Todd and I, we’d be happy to get to Michigan,” she said.  “We’d be so happy to speak to the people there in Michigan who are hurting,” she said. “Whatever Todd and I can do in realizing what their challenges in that state are …. I wanna get back to Michigan and I want to try.”

Blabbing away

The other interesting thing about this morning was Palin was actually talking to the press.  In fact, she said she wants to talk to the press more often.

“I look forward to speaking to the media more and more everyday and providing whatever access the media would want,” she said.

What about the McCain handlers who put her in the cone of silence?  Not true, said Palin.

“Well I beg to differ with the notion that I was reined in in any way, but if there was any of that, it’s over,” she said.

I like Palin’s can-do attitude. That’s the kind of never-give-up attitude that Americans want to have and want to see. McCain should dispatch her to Michigan. She’s going to be able to connect to the MI crowds, Alaskan style.

2. Aaron Johnson | 10.03.08

Palin is a nice lady, but it doesn’t change the fact she’ from Canada.

3. Louise Riley | 10.03.08

Are you kidding me, her “can-do attitude” The only she “can do” is memorize a scripted set of answers and then goes on fox news…the right wing’s network. If she is really willing to talk to the media, why don’t you go on Anderson Cooper’s show…oh wait, his IQ is about 100 points higher than Sean Hannity so that wont’ work!

PAHLEASE!!

Palin is a bumbling fool and corrupt politician. The verdict on Trooper gate is just a few weeks away, then we’ll see how many interviews she gives!

OBAMA/BIDEN 2008

4. Vincent Rose | 10.03.08

This is a prime number one example of exactly why Palin-McCain is a catastrophe of almost epic proportions…with or without them winning. Like I would never try to drive a NASCAR car, I think it highly inadvisable that amateurs supplant pros, and giving “Todd the secessionist” anything to do of national political significance approaches total lunacy.

She, her husband and her large brood need to return from whence they came.

5. Jim Caddell | 10.03.08

We have two choices: a loose cannon and / or a pig with lipstick aka pitbull in a poke. Biden has been well vetted and we can usually predict what he will say or do. Palin has been held incognito for several weeks and now we don’t know which or what Palin will show up at the next press conference. Given the choices, give me Biden any day. You can make an anchor out of a loose cannon, but you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow or pitbull’s ear.

6. annie | 10.03.08

Tiddle - I agree with you 100%. Her attitude is great and just what the midwest needs. Tell it like it is in plain facts. I like her style. Enough of this DC crowd. Now let’s hope McCain lets her go back to Michigan.

7. Aaron | 10.03.08

Palin’s a politician with disdain for politicians. I don’t understand irony and can’t wait till she’s president!

8. Bunny | 10.03.08

For me, Sarah Palin brings to mind the “American Idol” television show tryouts, where potential contestants with no talent and lots of confidence, compete for a spot on the show. It’s an interesting phenomenon because they actually think they are really good.

9. Annie | 10.03.08

Aaron Johnson - I think you need to take your old geography book out. Palin is NOT from Canada. She is from the 49th state of the United States. = ALASKA

10. PulSamsara | 10.03.08

Why would America REWARD complete Republican failure ?

We wont.

11. Rod | 10.04.08

I think she is doing just fine. From the comments so far it looks like these morons have no idea what they are talking about. But then again Biden has no idea what he is talking about either so I guess thats alright.

12. Sarita | 10.04.08

I cannot believe the idiotic attitudes that people have that just because Sarah Palin has style and can relate to people automatically makes her a good leader. Wake up people- this is exactly the tactic GW used and look where we are! the fact that there are people that are even supporting her after her clear lack of ignorance in yesterday’s debate clearly shows how much work our education system needs. United States of Idiots.

13. Laurie | 10.04.08

There was a time when I was willing to vote for John McCain. This was back a year or two ago, when i thought the choice would be McCain vs. Hillary. My reasoning was that Hillary was far too polarizing, and this country had had enough divisions under George Bush. I thought McCain could bring us together again and help us work against all of the many serious issues facing the country.

If there was ever any chance that this was true, it ended with is appointment of Sarah Palin. This woman is an insult to educated and informed women everywhere. She is nothing more than an token, and she was chosen solely for her ability to divide. This woman has obviously never spent more than ten seconds reflecting on any important issue affecting this country. She is George Bush with lipstick — willfully, cheerfully, belligerently ignorant, viciously vindictive, and with a truly troubling faith in “gut” over facts.

This woman is qualified to be President? Don’t insult our intelligence.

14. Wolf | 10.04.08

Sara Palin championed laws in Alaska that allow “animals of prey”, including Wolves and Polar Bears to be shot from airplanes. Alaska residents rejected this unsportsman and inhumane practice, but the Governor prevented the people’s will from being heard.

Sara Palin also said that she thinks that global warming could be also attributed to natural causes and cycles, so it seems that she is totally lost when it comes to the overwhelming scientific evidence about the subject.

We don’t need another “Bush Administration” to turn its nose to all scientific reason, and rule “from the hip”…

Lastly, nothing really matters unless you count your own votes. Hitler’s regime said, “It is not who you vote for, it is who counts your vote that matters.”

http://www.blackboxvoting.org/ Learn the truth about Electronic Voting and the “Receiptless Help America Vote Act”.

People, seriously, do you really trust those electronic voting machines? If you do, you really need to educate yourself about the current security vulnerabilities with the voting software that the HAVA act had forced on Americans.

Democracy in America does not exist unless you can VERIFY your vote, and recount it if the election results do not match the exit polls.

15. D. Lindstrom | 10.04.08

Sounds like her critics watched a different debate than what I saw. Could it be they have bought the left leaning media’s talking points? Paalease!!! If you want to believe that tripe I have a next week’s winning Lotto numbers to sell you….

16. Hug | 10.04.08

Sarah Palin and her homespun intellect should be celebrated. Not all of us have attended college, or colleges, where one learns how to think and speak properly. I am positively sure that she will be a shining influence the world around. After eight years of leading the world in the idiot contest, Sarah Palin will be acclaimed as having advanced the USA to a new level of incompetence and shame. She has managed to make Dan Quayle appear as a scholar, what an accomplishment.

17. Deborah Harry | 10.04.08

The only men who won’t vote for Sarah are men who are more feminine and jealous of her hairdo. Get over it pixie-anne. You just learned the term “vetted” so don’t overuse it.

18. ray | 10.04.08

When Bush won the last election.European call us stupid for voting mentally deficient president. They are right. They got affected too with whats going on right now.For those fans of Mcsame and Palin,it tells me that Forrest Gump really exist in the MID-WEST.

19. pat | 10.04.08

wow such remarks not just here but on other comment pages also. I am starting to wonder if some of you should even vote.Sounds like your still in school.Making fun of the way someone talks like some of you do is down right not American or has America gotten to that point.America is made up of people who talk different.I bet your neighbor might be from some where else and talk funny to you.Do you call him names? we teach our kids to treat people with respect and they treat people better then a lot of you adults treat people. you should be proud.

20. gwat | 10.04.08

why is it always that democrats have such rude remarks. if you dont like a candidate just say why you dont like that person without any insult, because we are all americans and should respect each other.

21. Mr. Six Pack | 10.04.08

Palin is “mavericky” again…that rite der is cauled courage, cuz she’s facin another maverick - who happened to leav’er outta the decision makin process…Palin has served her purpose in this here campaign…now getter done!

22. texas tired | 10.04.08

Regarding McCain and Palin, I ask. If you have been in an abusive relationship for eight years and finally, thank God, that relationship is over and you now have the chance to date again–if the choice to date is between two individuals, one of which has the characteristics and outlook of your former abuser, which would you choose?

Enough is enough. Throw these thieves out.

23. Kerwin | 10.04.08

There is the saying that loose lips sink ships and Biden and Obama certainly have loose lips such as telling Al Qaeda their plans for withdrawal. Who needs spies. Still we are speaking of Palin and Michigan and her move makes some sense considering that she is supposed to have used somewhat the same strategy to become governor of Alaska. I have no idea how Todd will do on the campaign trail but it is small cost to take a chance.

24. Larry Johansen | 10.04.08

Interesting story on CNN about the analysis of the words used by college professor that determined Palin was speaking words and grammar at two grade levels higher than Biden. I guess country folk ain’t all they look to be sometimes!

25. T-Prop | 10.04.08

This whole thing is most entertaining.

Gollygee, it’s like watching The Simpsons go to Washington — but for real, also.

D’Ooh!!

26. Ammie | 10.04.08

McCain is going to his hands full with Sarah Palin. Ha! Ha!

27. Brandon | 10.04.08

She is the only canidate that is “REAL” and “TRUE” to heart in this race.

Go Palin! Make us proud! We know your heart is truly in the right place!

They call conservatives the Right =) and Liberals the Left..

Whats right is RIGHT! Whats left is all that’s LEFT!

Enjoy =)

28. Howard Dee | 10.04.08

It will be interesting to see if the media holds her to this offer and claim that her press limits are over. She has not held a press conference since being nominated and waited over a week after being selected to be interviewed. Here’s interesting info on her press relations so far -

http://dailysource.org/special/palin/145#palin_and_the_press

Her stating that she has not been reined in isn’t quite true - in the link above, McCain’s spokesperson says they will only expose her to the media if they think it will help them win.

The claim it’s over. Maybe McCain being down by about 6 points figures he has nothing to lose by it and that she’ll fare reasonably well.

29. Dallas Mike | 10.04.08

Delusions of grandeur.
I’m sure she sees herself as some kind of savior.
Nothing could be further from the truth.

30. Aengil | 10.04.08

Palin doesn’t say anything she hasn’t prepared (or that someone else hasn’t prepared for her). If she finds herself in a situation where she doesn’t have a prepared answer, she gets annoyed and sticks to her golden rule: Never, ever, say anything specific.

She might have a mind of her own, but there’s really no way to tell. She won’t even say what newspapers she reads off the cuff. She’s obviously incredibly ambitious, but beyond that… who knows?

All this talk of wanting to keep competing in Michigan shows is that someone - possibly her, possibly the campaign - thinks it’s a good idea for her to say that. It doesn’t necessarily mean she actually does want to compete in Michigan. But saying so might force Obama’s campaign to keep resources in Michigan just in case, which prevents them relocating those resources elsewhere. It might be a ‘can-do’ attitude, but more likely, it’s just an easy way to keep the Obama campaign guessing.

31. Gonne Yeats | 10.04.08

Can somebody please answer this?

Am I really suppposed to vote for John McCain because Sarah Palin didn’t make a fool of herself?

Thanks, I didn’t think so.

32. Geoff | 10.04.08

Palin wears skirts, not pantsuits. She actually has long hair. She doesn’t adapt a gruff manlike tone when she talks. Because of all this, people consider her incompetent. Basically, unless a woman acts and to some extent looks like a man, she’s unqualified? She has been a mayor, a governor, on an energy regulatory board, and run a business. A man with such qualities would be allowed to be “folksy” without being accused of being ditzy. It is simply sexist. Why did Hilary Clinton go with the pantsuits and tough talk? Because of the sexist attitude that a woman cannot be both a woman and a leader. Obama has never been a mayor or governor. He has only been a Senator and that just for a short time. People considered him unqualified until he got a lot more time on TV. It’s funny that Joe Biden, who has been in politics for 25 years, kept claiming that “Obama and I” supported/fought for this and that cause. Obama has an extremely short political career history and has disagreed with Biden for a lot of it. At least we can rest assured that Joe Biden will hold Obama’s hand any time Obama has to make a decision?!? (that’s what Biden said at the debate).

33. Florenzo | 10.04.08

“Well I beg to differ with the notion that I was reined in in any way”, Palin was heard saying.

Yeah, right babe! Since both being nominated to VP position you faced the media twice and destructed. Joe, as you asked to address him has faced the media over 98 times!

34. gary | 10.04.08

I think Sarah Palin has set back the cause for women about 10-20 years. If women go into a job interview and dismiss the question ad hoc, wink their eye in what could be construed a sexual overtone and believe that an “aw shucks” attitude is what’s needed to get that position, we’re worse off than what I thought. Sarah Palin wants use to use sex when it suits her. But if she is brought to task, it’s sexist, it’s “gotcha questioning” it’s media elitism.

And what would happen if there were a response to the “wink” at an interview. The interviewer would be sued for sexual harassment.

Basically, I don’t want to see Daisy Mae running the US.

35. bob | 10.04.08

I just love all of the hate from the OBAMA/BIDEN folks here. Do we democrats think that Biden who lives in a 3 million dollar house is just like us? if so I guess I hang out with the wrong crowd.

36. DCdallas | 10.04.08

bob - Biden has an annual income far less than most Senators.

Geoff - I consider her incompetent because she is an idiot and know absolutely nothing about this country or its history.

37. dan | 10.04.08

It is Palin’s can-do style that allowed her to consummate a deal that had been held up for decades, that will have natural gas flowing via her pipeline project when America needs it the most. In that one act…she has done more for this nation then Obama and Biden ever have…and probably ever will.

38. dan | 10.04.08

One question: Is it illegal to refuse to respond to a subpoena? Why aren’t she and the “first Dude” being forced to comply or arrested? What would happen if you or I were subpoenaed and we refused??? Wasn’t she the one who said that she’d be happy to cooperate and that she did nothing wrong? If so, then how can she refuse that judge’s edict? Bizarro world of Republican fixes again? She is absolutely another Cheney in my book. McCain is a war hero and used to be a maverick - maybe still is - but his choice of a person who does not know what a VP does, nor willing to abide by the limits of that position, is extremely scary to me.

39. Maria | 10.04.08

Really!! She acts like Katie was asking her physics questions. These were simple questions that any one in her position should be able to answer; Clearly!
Her demeanor is like a female Bu$h! She is not confident but she is cocky and self absorbed. Her and McCain will continue to lead the USA down a dark path. We need new intelligent leadership in order to restore not only our economy but out standing in the world. We went from a nation that the world may not have always liked at times, but at least respected to a nation of jokers and thieves who have left us vaunerable and drained us. Bu$h, Cheney, McCain, vaunerable….. all the same. Dividers not uniters! This is what happens when the religious whacked out right has their way.

40. rayjay | 10.04.08

So Palin didn’t implode and the Repubs think it’s a victory. Palin says she won’t answer the questions and comments as put to her and the Repubs think it shows her independence and can-do attitude. Larry (a Repub I assume) thinks that the CNN grammar analysis shows her intelligence - ignoring the part about Palin’s use of the passive voice used to obfuscate and avoid responsibility. Repubs use whatever info confirms thier beliefs and ignore and dismiss the rest. This is exactly how GWB has governed for the last eight years and Repubs think it’s great. Now they hope to have another two terms of the same and have the nerve to call themselves mavericks! As Humpty Dumpty said ‘When I use a word, it means just what I choose it to mean, neither more nor less.’ I think its the Republican creed.

41. Ron | 10.04.08

My wife teaches grade 3 and when her students bomb a test, she goes over the answers with them and then lets them take the test over again. When Sarah Palin did the Fox interview, she was able to recite answers to Katie Couric’’s questions about Supreme Court cases, and the magazines she reads. She claims that she reads the New York Times, what she doesn”t realize is that most people who read the Times do so religiously, not part time. Was she lying ? Probably, but she has been able to get away with it. I would probably say that there aren’t three places in all of Alaska who carry The New York Times.

42. James | 10.04.08

Two reasons this formerly undecided voter is going with Obama:

1. Economy. Not even close. McCain is the same as Bush, he thinks more tax cuts and cutting spending are the answer. Lower taxes and less government spending won’t stop any banks from closing, it won’t free up credit and it won’t stop foreclosures. Obama’s right, you build the economy from the bottom up, when the middle class does well money trickles UP and the rich do well too.

In 1932 it took a Democrat to fix the economy broken by the Republican Hoover. In 1993, it took Clinton to fix the economy after the 1991-2 recession under Bush I. Now, in 2008, we need a Democrat to fix the economy again.

2. National Security. Most people think we will be safer under McCain. I don’t. He’s too hot-headed and too combative. We need to rebuild our alliances and have a lot of friends in the world. Were you safer on the playground with one friend or 50?

The path we have been down for the last 8 years doesn’t work. We need a change. I’m going with Obama.

43. Michael | 10.04.08

God help us if people elect this ignorant woman to be VP, we do not need any further embarassment to our reputation in the world.

44. Gaias Child | 10.04.08

I’m guessing nobody told the Gov that the campaign’s out of money and that’s why it seemed a good idea to “suspend” it and all ads (didn’t happen) … there’s just no other reason to suspend the ads while the senator goes back to Washington to help the credit emergency. Why else publically quit Michigan? Isn’t that abandoning the supporters there? The candidate could easily focus attention elsewhere without pulling out. I smell a budget deficit on the R side of the campaign.

45. T-Prop | 10.04.08

Sarah Palin, and for that matter, John McCain are prime examples of the Peter Principle at work. They have risen to their level of incompetence. I find it incredible that anyone believes this woman is capable of being the leader of the free world. And McCain, while he has the experience, has the temperment that would plunge us deeper in the international disrespect we unfortunatly command now.

The is no perfect man/woman/candidate for this or any job, but it is arguably the most important job on the planet and the best choice is Obama/Biden.

47. OtterQueen | 10.04.08

“Whatever Todd and I can do in realizing what their challenges in that state are … I wanna get back to Michigan and I want to try.”

She’s so anxious about Michigan, but doesn’t know what challenges they face?

Is she unable or unwilling to do a little boning up on a few key points in order to come across as more informed? After the disastrous statement that she doesn’t even know what the Vice President does, I would think she’d have been motivated to read a few pages to avoid ever making that mistake again. Instead, she tried to tell us it was just a joke, then proceeded to show just how uninformed she still was by spewing nonsense. I’ve seen her flub on several things repeatedly, why doesn’t she take care not to repeat her mistakes? Is this arrogance or incompetence?

During the debate, Joe Biden made a few statements that were questionable - if she had had any idea of their inaccuracy, she would have been all over him. But the simple truth is, she is grossly uninformed.

Her false folksiness is a Bush-worthy attempt to manipulate opinions with nothing more than an image, “style over substance.” I think this shows a huge lack of respect for the American public, and I take offense at this.

Do you voters expect Biden to perform for Obama because Obama is not qualified to be president. Biden has experience but does he know how to lead or he only knows how to vote like he has been doing in Senate. He looks like a boring VP candidate who is going to team with Obama who is a Muslim. This is our future picture if Obama-Biden wins in November. Wake up voters before it is too late!

50. mountain lady | 10.04.08

If all it takes is a folksy style and a down to earth mom I’d make a great VP. I say “ya’ll”, and “I’m fixing to” go to the store, and up here in the hills we know how to make moonshine, good alternative fuel. I can’t wink though and I have belly fat…..opps….and a Master’s Degree in Biology.
Never mind.

Tina Fey is attractive, funny, and brilliant.

Not only does Fey do a hilarious spoof of Sarah Palin, Obama supporters that are trash-talkin Sarah Palin, especially the guys supporting Obama, are falling all over themselves auditioning for Mean Girls II, III, IV, and V — in case Fey writes the sequels.

Democrats never saw Palin and what she represents coming. And they still don’t know what to make of her, other than to roll their eyes, and say Puhl-leaseeee! — as if that carries any weight outside of Obama Nation. And even after the election when the ‘unthinkable’ happens and Obama loses, they STILL won’t understand what happened all around them.

So let me clue Obama Nation in: Sarah Palin is the handwriting on the wall which says Obama has been weighed and measured, and found to be lacking.

58. Roan Mayer | 10.04.08

59. QueSarahSarah | 10.04.08

LOVE that Sarah and Todd decry a need to go to Michigan. No other state in the union is as economically depressed. Those people deserve a sympathetic ear and there is no one who will understand them better than Sarah Palin. If her pressing schedule permits, I think the McCain campaign will re-think their decision, allowing her to go there.

60. Isabel Goldstein | 10.04.08

“When you besmirch ones character with unfounded rumors and lies, it shows the rest of us how ignorant you really are.”Malo Lobo

Obviously Malo Lobo (bad wolf) is a republican who has to go back to 1999 conveniently skipping the last 8 years of Bush to point fingers.

But i’m glad that he feels it’s wrong to unfairly “besmirch ones character” here is a link to an ap article about a non profit organization run by a republican who is best friends with Karl Rove.

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5h1Rd6z2Qk3Fe45zgkt9gKSEiE46gD93JF6Q80

They have been distributing through newspapers in all swing states millions of free dvds about the danger of radical isalm and muslims, then folllowing up with “push polls” where they pretend to be take a poll and ask misleading questions like and I quote “would you vote for Obama if he is a muslim?” etc. For those of you that still, at this point don’t know, Obama is a christian!

So Malo Lobo(bad wolf)get on the phone and let all you republican friends know the truth so they can vote on “honest” information. “wink, wink”

64. FriendlyFred | 10.04.08

Looking at the latest gas prices, no wonder McCain is pulling out of Michigan and realizing his campaign may be in trouble. People can barely afford to fill up their car right now. Most people just put in $20 and hope they last the week. When was the last time you actually FILLED UP???

Americans are fed up about the price of gas in this country, and we need some change.

But, I think I might vote for Obama/Putin because I want a democrat in the White House when we fall on our faces.

66. DBoy Rodriguez | 10.04.08

How can you Obamaniacs say Palin is not qualified to be VP or President when she has more executive experience than Obama or Biden?

She has been successful as a Mayor and as a Governor. Even if the population of her city and her state is not as big as other states, she still has governed them. If she isn’t qualified, then she would have failed as Mayor and as Governor. But she has not.

McCain is right. Obama is a fence-sitter. An opportunist. He portrays himself to be the “savior” of America but he will in fact destroy it and the whole world with it. What with his questionable and well-hidden background and questionable affiliations.

The winner of this election as in 2000 and 2004 are those that value human life. Down with the Baby-Killers!

Go McCain/Palin !!!

Go McCain/Palin !!!

What on earth is this “Todd” and I routine????? Is the couple running for office? Aside from the fact that she is so totatlly incapable for the position, I cringe thinking that the “First Dude” has so insinutated himself into her campaign as he has done in Alaska’s governing. This is unacceptable.

I’m so tired of the gotcha media and the left trying to discredit Sarah Palin. I identify with her and whatever happens in the election, she is a rising star.

I’d like to engage in some minor nitpicking with previous commenters.

Wolf (#16) said:

“Lastly, nothing really matters unless you count your own votes. Hitler’s regime said, ‘It is not who you vote for, it is who counts your vote that matters.’”

Turns out we can’t blame the Nazis for everything. The original was:

“Those who cast the votes, they decide nothing. Those who count the votes, they decide everything”
-Josef Stalin

That was said in a world before exit polls, indeed long before the widespread use of independent public polling of any kind. If Stalin counted the votes and said Stalin won, there was little independent information available to contradict him. Not so today. What this seems to mean is that elections CAN be stolen today, but only if they are close to begin with. This observation (about close elections) has been made by others in regard to Lyndon Johnson’s first Senate election, which he is reputed to have stolen.

Ron (#44) says:
“I would probably say that there aren’t three places in all of Alaska who carry The New York Times”

Actually, she can surely read the NYT the same way I do - online. Whether she does so with any frequency is, of course, another question entirely.

She’s a fake-she was in San Antonio and those of us that wanted to see her paid $1000 per individual-however, we couldn’t get near enough to talk to her! Either she’s a fake or they were afraid that she would say something they would have to retract. It wasn’t worth the $1000 I paid!

72. Tony | 10.04.08

Palin on the trail today opened up on Obama with claims that he is friends with terrorists! Then she said she read it in the New York times!
In reality the article that she referred to actually says that the republican claim of a link is completely unfounded or as Palin would say it “a darn lie!” the only connection is that Obama who was 8 at the time, lived in the same neighbourhood. So she reads the times, but apparently can’t really comprehend very well.

73. Dave | 10.04.08

PLEASE, NO!!!
We do NOT want Palin coming to Michigan.
She thinks she can “connect” with us here, but she is too much of a moron.
She has already overstayed her welcome in the lower 48, and needs to get back to the farthest remote area of this continent.

You’re right. I am a Republican, but I’m an American first. I don’t have to offer proof to you. You seem to be able to do some research on you’re own…Do it. As for one individual you refer to, We cant all be perfect, even Republicans. I note, however, that there is a huge number of left wing liberals that can spit out lies faster than my dog can wag his tail.

You can try to defend your position until the cows come home but it won’t affect the positions of informed, open minded people. You say Obama is a Christian, Really?. Where’s your proof? He’s never said he was a Christian. He has never answered that question directly. The evidence, however, would seem to indicate his attendance of the Rev. (racist) church has been a choice of convenience. ALL OF HIS close associates are Muslims, mostly of Syrian descent.

He hasn’t had a real job and yet he has attended Harvard at tax payer’s expense, Elevated to a high position in one of their socialist clubs, yet never wrote a paper. He has flown around the middle East at someone’s expense. Visiting Pakistan, Syria, and some other hops. None of these places are residences of relatives. It seems that he would help his brother who lives in extreme poverty, living on one dollar a month in Africa.

Sorry buddy. His associations indicate anything but Christian. I don’t care that he may not be Christian. It’s not a concern of mine. However, it is a concern of mine that he is likely a Muslim in cloak and has received huge sums of money from the middle East. Many contributers were traced to single credit cards in Saudi Arabia and other Arab states. Virtually violating U.S. Federal laws.

You do your own research. like so many other liberals say..”Just Google it”. It is nice to see so many foaming at the mouth lefties start bouncing off of the wall when their buddy is nailed. “Bad Wolf”? You bettcha.

76. cwg | 10.05.08

Bad Wolf? More like a Troll.

Any research you may have done was probably limited to reading investigative reports published by the Aryan Brotherhood. What a laugh. The big lie.

“Informed”? “Open-minded”? “American”? I don’t think so.

77. Malo Lobo | 10.06.08

You’re just like the other elitist who shuffle into the Barrios. You think all of the Tejanos are illiterate and will fall lock step into the Democrat trap of lies. You can’t separate your anointed one from his ties to corruption, and you can accept selective racism. Your hero will spell disaster for this, our country and if he is elected, you will share the blame for your ignorant allegiance.
